“ Fun and scenic areas to wait at, free water available while you wait, neat decorations/nice atmosphere, absolutely delicious food and super nice staff! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and will definitely be back next time we’re in town! This meal was one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely recommend trying the table top s’mores for a fun dessert and the shrimp & chicken pesto Alfredo was wonderful! Very kid friendly place as well. ”
“ After reading so many positive reviews, we decided that the 30 minute trek from Emerald Isle was worth the gamble and standing in line in the heat (yes, the line begins forming well in advance of the 4:45 pm opening). The doors opened promptly and moved quickly. We chose to sit in the lounge area which was delightfully cool after our time outside. We loved the unique mosquito themed decor that had natural elements throughout. Sunshine was our waitress and she definitely is well named. She gave us solid recommendations; our food was delivered so quickly and did not disappoint. Grilled scallops were melt in your mouth tender! The fried shrimp was the best I have ever eaten. The cole slaw was a nice surprise as well; it was greatly superior to many seafood restaurants. We ended, despite full bellies and plates that hadn’t been finished, with the chocolate creme brulee. OMG!!! Pure heaven! We will definitely return on our next trip to EI. Plan ahead and make sure to visit this restaurant. ”
“ This is our 2nd time to Amos Mosquito because we live in Charlotte. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The restaurant vibe is great! The staff is friendly and mindful of our needs. I can’t wait to visit Amos Mosquito on our next trip to Atlantic Beach. ”
“ Arrived about 415pm and there were already a few waiting, but by 445 the line was probably 40-50 people deep. Our party of 7 was 4th in line, got right & seated. Started with a bread bucket for 2.50, received it and our drinks quickly. Son says the fries were the best he’s had! Some in our party had the meatloaf and loved it, wife had the shrimp & chicken pesto Alfredo and loved it, I had the Jamaican Jerk Roasted Chicken and it was phenomenal. If they bottled & sold the pineapple sauce I’d have left with some. Roscoe was a great waiter & always kept us topped off even though they were crazy busy, we were never treated like it. Was a wonderful overall experience & we’re already discussing going back this week while on vacation. ”
“ Had dinner at Amos Mosquito’s in Atlantic Beach, NC, and overall it was a solid experience. The fried pork chops were a standout — crisp and well-seasoned. The mashed potatoes that came with them were just right, with a nice balance of flavor. We also tried the pork dumplings as an appetizer, and they were definitely worth ordering — flavorful and cooked just right. Service was smooth throughout. Our server was attentive without hovering, which made the evening feel comfortable and easy. Just a heads-up: this place is clearly popular, and for good reason. A line started forming about 45 minutes before opening, so it’s smart to show up early if you don’t want to wait. ”
“ We went here for our anniversary and could no have been happier. We came after 8PM on a Tuesday to be after the rush. We got a table in the bar . The service, drinks and server were all top notch. The atmosphere was cordial and cozy. The food, flounder & shrimp with mashed potatoes and meatloaf with mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. This was a first class experience and while costly was in line with any other high end restaurant. A completely satisfying dining experience. The food lived up to the expectations. ”
“ This is not a place for dinner...this is an eating experience! The staff is very friendly. I had the mahi that was on special and it was Breathtaking! For desert my grandson was able to cool s’mores at table. We left full and happy. This place is a bit of a drive up from Emerald Isle but it is worth the drive. I look forward to coming back and trying the pork chops. ”
“ When we came here in October of 2024 for my brothers birthday it was by far if not the best restaurant in all of Atlantic Beach. The people were very kind and friendly and were helpful and they even treated my brother and us to free smores for his birthday. This will certainly be a place that we”ll come back to next time we’re down there ”
